Bookkeeper and payroll assistant job: We are looking for an experienced Xero bookkeeper and IRIS Staffology payroll assistant to join our growing, friendly and dynamic team in our Leeds office.
The right candidate will work in a varied role looking after our diverse and wonderful clients whilst being supported and given the opportunities to develop your skills offering career development and progression opportunities.
We are able to offer hybrid working but as a bookkeeping clerk and salary processor the job requires you to work regularly every week from our Leeds office and to sometimes visit clients.
The main responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with meeting their bookkeeping requirements
- Helping to prepare VAT returns and making sure they are all filed on a timely basis
- Assisting with payroll processing and looking after some simpler payrolls
- Providing assistance to colleagues on bookkeeping, VAT and payroll matters
Education/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years’ bookkeeping experience
- Experience of Xero, preferably Xero certified, with familiarity of other online accounts programs
Key Skills:
- Experience of Xero, preferably Xero certified, with familiarity of other online accounts programs
- Payroll experience, preferably IRIS Staffology
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player
- Polite and professional
- Able to work under pressure, to deadlines.
- Able to prioritise and multi task
Salary:
Competitive + benefits including flexi-time and hybrid working, company pension. This is a permanent, full time role (35 hours per week) but part-time applications will be considered.
