We specialise in looking after growing entrepreneurial businesses
These are usually small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are either owner managed businesses or family run businesses. These are the heartbeat of our economy and as a small business specialist accountant we are pleased to be doing our bit to assist these companies and their owners. Therefore whether you are, for example, in the automotive, creative, digital, training, recruitment, building or leisure sectors we have experience of your sector, but more importantly we know your business is an entrepreneurial one and if you choose to work with us you will find we will add value to your business.
Industry specialisms
We work closely with our clients and so are able to provide them with the specialist support they require. A lot of sectors require detailed accounting, tax and VAT knowledge.
Locality
Our accountancy practice is based in the heart of the Leeds Business Quarter in LS1 not surprisingly most of our clients are based in Yorkshire, mainly in and around the towns and cities of Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Wetherby or Wakefield. The location, however, is not of prime importance as our use of cloud accounting and technology means our clients could be based in Cardiff or London, or even further afield, and an increasing number of them are. We look after the UK subsidiaries and companies of investors based in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East as well as individuals who may live in Australia or China who still require a UK tax return to be filed.
Automotive sector
We look after a number of clients in the automotive sector: they operate garages that service cars and commercial vehicles, repair them and MOT them; they sell tyres: importing, wholesaling and retailing them; and of course they sell motor vehicles.
Property
Across this sector, where every tax comes into play, we look after builders, roofers, electricians, surveyors and landlords (individuals, companies and small self administered pension funds).
Internet businesses
We are also an Insitiute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Authorised Training Employer.
Importers and exporters
From our managing partner’s business experience we understand a lot about foreign trade, not only accounting, tax and VAT but also the commercial financial instruments that are available. A large proportion of our clients are engaged, to various degrees, in international trade and they turn to us for business and financial advice. These client companies can be based in the UK or be the subsidiaries of international businesses.
Creative
We have a number of clients, across the country, who are in the creative and digital sectors. These range from designers, musicians, film makers to website designers. We love to see the passion they have for their art and we work closely with them to help them deliver their business and financial goals.
Contractors and other professional service companies
Some of our clients, as freelancers and consultants, have to be aware of the issues that IR35 raises. We offer these clients a premium personal service and they know we are only ever a telephone call or email away. Many contractor accountants merely provide an online portal and make you do all the work and then they account for it – mistakes and all! We are not like that as we put your interests first.

We are also an Insitiute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Authorised Training Employer.
